<p>The Sheikh mentioned is Al-Arif bin Ahmed Al-Mahjoubi (may Allah have mercy on him).<br /> Born in the Sidi Al-Sid area of Tarhuna in 1920, his academic journey began with Quranic memorization in Tripoli before he moved to the Zwaya of Sheikh Abd al-Salam al-Asmar in Zliten to deepen his knowledge of linguistic sciences, logic, jurisprudence, and inheritance law. In 1947, he traveled to Al-Zaytuna University in Tunisia to study under its senior scholars. He returned to Libya and began a distinguished teaching career in 1952, which lasted until 1985. During this period, he taught at the Ahmed Pasha College and the Sayyid Muhammad bin Ali al-Senussi Institute (later known as the Malik bin Anas Religious Institute). He also contributed to the academic mission of the Muhammad bin Ali al-Senussi University in El Beida and left a lasting scholarly legacy through his lessons on the jurisprudence of worship (Fiqh al-Ibadat), which are still broadcast on the Holy Quran Radio.</p>
